Description:
50-PIECES OF 550 MAGNUM BRASS MADE BY RCC BRASS!

WHY RCC BRASS?
  • While the draw process is capable of mass production, it is not able to easily produce consistent case head hardness, case weight, case volume, and case concentricity. RCC Brass has taken those variables out of the manufacturing process as it has C272 cartridge brass hammer-forged into a tight molecular grain structure with high tensile strength, high yield strength, and 15% malleability.  RCC Brass machines all the cases on CNC lathes and mills and case weight, case volume, and case concentricity are the best available in the industry.  RCC Brass does not anneal the case head as it is hammer forged to a high tensile strength which gives the same hardness for each case. Since RCC Brass uses CNC equipment to manufacture the brass, case weight and case volume is nearly identical piece-to-piece, and and the case concentricity is held to a 0.001”.
  • Since RCC Brass is not held back by the limitations of a draw system, it is able to use higher strength alloys to manufacture cartridges.  RCC Brass's new C272 brass alloy has a much higher tensile strength, a much higher yield strength, and a tighter molecular grain structure than C260 brass, without losing the needed malleability. Test results have been positive as RCC Brass has had reports of increased in velocity and energy and lower shot deviations versus C260 drawn brass. The real test, however, is what you can do with RCC Brass reloading brass products.
  • All RCC Brass brass meets SAAMI and CIP pressure standards.
THE 550 MAGNUM CARTRIDGE
  • The 550 Magnum is a cartridge designed by Neal Shirley. It is based on the .460 Weatherby cartridge necked up to .550 bore diameter. The 550 Magnum will push a 700 grain bullet close to 2300ft/s.
