On Hold Sale Pending. Model 1873 US Springfield Trapdoor carbine 45-70 Caliber. This is a totally correct Original model 1873 carbine. The 22 inch barrel has turned a mix of blue and grey brown color and the VP eagle proof marks. The rear site is the correct sight marked C. The but plate has the trap door with the correct key hole opening. The dark walnut walnut carbine stock is correct but no longer shows a cartouche due to sling wear. The breach block is dated 1873. The Lock is marked US Springfield with the American eagle. The metal parts contain a mix of blue, grey and brown color. The bore shows some wear but is still in good condition.
