Description:
SN: V220798 'US NAVY' marked. This is an American made double action, 6 shot revolver chambered for .38 special ammo, circa 1942-1945. The Victory models were issued to Navy and Marine Fliers. It features a 4' round pinned barrel, 6 shot fluted cylinder and lanyard ring on butt.
Condition:
This one appears to have the sandblasted blued finish (similar to parkerizing). It has a blade front sight with machined square notch rear sight, smooth wood grips (no medallions) on a square butt frame with a serrated trigger and knurled hammer spur. This was not sent in to have the safety bar hammer block adjustment made. (No S on the sideplate or serial number) U.S. Navy on the top strap. Overall the finish held up well with signs of use and handling and a very light drag line on the cylinder and a little discoloration. The hammer and trigger retain case hardening colors. The bore looks great.
