Description:
24 inch round barrel chambered in 22 Short caliber with full length magazine tube. Bore shows roughness throughout but has good rifling. Metal is mostly a grey/brown with traces of blue in protected areas. Sights include sporting rear sight and blade front sight. Wood is good overall with some handling mars and missing a sliver on each side of the upper tang. Comes with Cody Research form stating configuration and ship date of 5-21-1885. Second year production of the 22 caliber 1873 Winchester with the rare early take down pin. Seldom seen for sale.
