Description:
This is a rare Savage 24C Camper Companion Series S combination gun in like-new condition made in 1953. It is an over and under combination gun with a 22LR top barrel and a 20 Gauge 3" magnum bottom barrel. The gun has one small handling chip on the forend the rest is mint, both wood, and metal. Buttstock has a storage compartment. The receiver is beautifully cased harden. The barrel is 20" and the overall length of the gun is 36". Like new, never fired.
Savage 24C: All came only in 22lr/20ga and 20 inches separated barrels; 24C Series M, 24C Series N & 24C Series P all had English straight stocks and toothpick style forearms and had the top of tang barrel release lever; 24C Series R had the American pistol grip style stock and top of tang barrel release lever; 24C Series S also had the American pistol grip style stock but the front of the trigger guard sliding block barrel release.
