Description:
Fine German made Single action 6-shot military revolver dated 1882. 7-1/4 inch round barrel with interesting cannon muzzle. Shiny bore with sharp rifling. Retains most of its dull military blue finish. Original wood grips have some minor mars and dings but quite serviceable. Correct Lanyard loop. Excellent bore. Crisp tight action. Left side of the frame has "GEBR MAUSER & CIE / 1880 / OBERNDORF" in an oval. M1879 revolvers were delivered to the kingdoms of Bavaria and Wurttemberg. Butt is unit marked to Bavarian artillery and reads B.3.A.r.1.14. Interesting old German military revolver.
