This Remington model 51 is chambered in .380 ACP which was first produced in 1918 with 25 units being manufacture. This one is a transition model between the type 1 and 2 variants. It was manufactured in 1920 with the 9 slide serrations with the type 2 .380 caliber marking on the barrel and the Remington logo on right side. The top of the slide is marked “THE REMINGTON ARMS UNION METALLIC CARTRIDGE CO. INC. / REMINGTON ILION WKS. N.Y. U.S.A. PEDERSEN’S PATENTS PENDING”. The serial number is PA28053, with the prefix “PA” standing for Pedersen Automatic. Since The Remington Model 51 was designed by John D. Pedersen. The right side of the trigger guard has the “Anchor” marking which is an inspector’s mark and has nothing to do with the Navy.

The bore is in very fine condition with no issues and the pistol hand functions just fine. The grips are in very fine condition with no cracks but have a different color to them.
