Please review the in-house pictures for a better appreciation of this incredible fully automatic machine gun. The MG 08/15 light machine gun was developed during WWI to replace the very heavy and cumbersome MG 08 machine gun used by the German Army. This new version was much lighter, less cumbersome and provided increased mobility whether carried by the infantrymen or transported by carts. Typically manned by a team of four trained infantrymen this machine gun was a formidable weapon. Firing rates up to 400 rounds per minute were possible using 250 round belts. However, prolonged sustained firing would lead to overheating of this water cooled barrel. The MG 08/15 was typically used at ranges out to about 2,000 meters with a maximum range of approximately 3,600 meters. The MG 08/15 light machine gun was deployed more often by German troops than any other model during WWI. *** This NFA item is on a Form 4 and ready to transfer to your FFL dealer.
