Description:
J Rigby & Co. Pre-war .275/ 7X57 Model 98 Bolt Rifle Scoped. The action has good blue, 3 screws from a now removed side-mount shows on the left side of the action behind the forward ring, the trigger is above average with an unknown model of custom trigger, floor-plate and trigger guard have good blue with edge wear. The barrel is 22" with London proof from 2010, Rigby marked with the script style, small bead front site, no rear. The stock is nice with a 14" Length of pull, rear of the tang and grip show no cracks or oil soaking, older refinish and thin Silvers style pad. I belive this barrel to be a later replacement due to the lack of a rear sight and no earlier proof marks though the serial number places this rifle in the late 1920s.
