Description:
This is a Savage model 1899 chambered in 303 Savage. It is the predecessor to the model 99. This rifle has a nice bright bore the stock has no cracks and has a very unique layered leather recoil pad. It's fitted with a brass cartridge counter, and has a cocking indicator. It has approximately 65% bluing left with most of the bluing worn off under the receiver where the rifle is most often carried. The action is very smooth and fast operating and opens with ease. most of the case coloring on the lever is worn off with the exception of the parts of the lever that are not showing untill it is opened.
