The gun has been shot but very little since its manufacture in 1937. The finish is as new as possible with no visible bluing wear except on the bolt and receiver bearing surfaces. The stock is standard with factory twenty line checkering. There a few minor handling marks on the wood probably from being removed from a safe and put back. You will be hard pressed to see them. The barell is 24" and is considered an early straight taper, 1st variation and a heavier weight.. It is not one of the early sporter standard weight as Winchester engineers found that accuracy was diminished due to barrel expansion which led to the rifling not "grabbing" the bullet. The rifle has a hooded front sight and a factory installed Lyman #48 rear peep sight. The LOP is 13 3/4". It does not have an original box or paperwork but would be a tremendous addition to one's collection. Please check my photos carefully and either call or email with any questions you may have.
