Description:
Serial #329696, .22 Magnum RF / .22 LR, 6 ½ inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is a 1961 produced Single-Six Magnum revolver and marked as such with a .22LR spare cylinder that is numbered to the gun. An early variation of the Single-Six product line up. The revolver features a serrated half-moon front sight, drift adjustable rear sight, steel straight slot ejector rod housing, flat round thumbpiece on the ejector rod, "XR3" grip frame and "RUGER SINGLE-SIX / WIN. .22 RF MAG. CAL." frame marking. The metal surfaces retain about 97% original blue and anodized finishes including the 22 Long Rifle cylinder showing light high edge wear and handling marks with slight holster wear finish loss on the left side of the barrel near the muzzle and sight. The smooth walnut factory grips with black Ruger Phoenix medallions rate very good showing handling marks and a tiny area of flaking finish. Mechanically the gun functions properly and locks up correctly. The gun comes in an original and correct .22 W.M.R. Box for 6 ½ inch barrel revolver that is pencil numbered to a different gun, includes the original manual and red velvet bag with the spare .22LR cylinder. A great looking, early .22 W.M.R. convertible Single-Six. FFL or C&R
