Description:
This is a seldom-seen and hard to find full box, 20 original rounds, of .40-82 ammunition manufactured by Winchester. The early two piece box, pre-1895 without the end labels and has the desirable first style blue label and is listed on p137 in Giles One Hundred Years Winchester Cartridge Boxes as an R3+ with call out for the Model 1886 Winchester rifle and nice cartridge cut. The box is in near excellent condition with complete labels with excellent graphics, slightly wrinkled on the top left edge crush with some seam separation along the top corners and bottom sides. The correct wood insert is present in the bottom top row. The cartridges are in excellent condition and are correct for this box. A hard to find box for the advanced collector.
