Description:
Serial #4566y, 9mm Para., 4 3/4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a "cyq" coded pistol that has matching numbers on the frame, slide, barrel, and locking block, with the metal retaining about 97-98% of the original blue finish that has silvered lightly at the muzzle, as well as on the projecting edges and bearing surfaces. The Waffenamt proofs are crisp and clear and a few faint traces of the white and red paint are still present within the "F" and "S" indicators on the safety/de-cocker cut-out. The dark brown phenolic resin grips are in fine-near excellent shape with only very minor surface scratches and small blemishes on either panel. The pistol comes with two Waffenamt marked magazines, and is housed in an Austrian-made, "dvr / 42" (Johann Proelich Koffer und Lederwarenfabrik, Vienna) coded soft-side holster with a NS-Reichskriegerbund (National Socialist State Veteran League) uniform breast eagle pinned to the cover flap. This is a great looking WW2 P.38, with a fine mid-war holster as well. FFL or C&R
