Description:
SALE PENDING ...Parker VHE 20 gauge SxS shotgun. Made in 1927 this VHE has 28” barrels with proofed bores of .625” right & .623” left and chokes of .010” light mod and .018” improved mod respectively. Both bores have minimal wall thicknesses of .027”. Original 2 ½” chamber length. Solid rib and the “E” in the VHE indicates that the gun has ejectors.
This Parker is exactly as it is listed in the Parker book with one notable exception…It has a factory single selective trigger, serial numbered to the gun!
The safety in non-automatic.
Finish wise the barrels have about 60% overall thinning original blue. The “O” frame has almost no “colors” remaining, and the screw heads have been polished, but the frame has not been polished or buffed. No blue on the trigger guard or on the forearm latch.
The forearm wood finish is original and in very good condition. The capped pistol grip buttstock has an old, professional repair in the form of a wrist pin and then refinished. The LOP is 14” over the ½” recoil pad but if this were a double trigger gun with the LOP measured from the front trigger it would be closer to 14 ½”! 1 ½” DAC and 2 ¾” DAH with neutral cast.
Mechanically very sound, tight, barrels on face, bright/shiny bores. 6 lbs. 4 oz.
So, I will categorize this VHE as a great upland bird gun with ejectors and single trigger that you can shoot for another 90 years without worrying about wear from everyday use.
