It has a 24” medium heavy barrel and came from the factory as a Target rifle installed into a “Marksman” stock. The front sling swivel is adjustable as with all target models of this era. According to George Madis, author of the Winchester book, the company discontinued the .22 Hornet and .257 Roberts in 1962 as they found other factory calibers that produced similar ballistics and performance. There are no iron sights, but it has Lyman, or Unertl style scope bases installed. The bluing 99% plus as I cannot find any wear other than on the receiver from the bolt being opened and closed. The wood is pristine other than some minor handling marks and one small ding behind the trigger guard. Unfortunately, there is no factory box available, but it does come with original instruction pamphlet and bolt hang tag. This would make a very nice addition to anyone’s Winchester collection.
