Description:
Rifle was made by John Moses Browning in Ogden, Utah. This Model 1878 features 30 inch full octagon barrel that is marked "116" with blade front sight and adjustable rear. Breech block marked "J.M. Browning Ogden, U.T.". Case hardened frame and barrel have turned a gray patina. Walnut wood has a checkered pistol grip stock that has worn checkering and a German silver pistol grip cap. Forearm checkering is also worn almost smooth. Good shiny bore and good mechanics. A real piece of firearms history from John Browning for your gun collection!
