Description:
Parker VH 28 Gauge. This is a restocked 0 frame Non Ejector with a nice job on the restock, tight on face, and nice balance. The action is clean with only faint case colors in protected areas, all screws show slight marring of the slots, safe is functional, needs a strip clean. There is a slightly marred area just behind the hingepin on the right side. The barrels are 26" with fair bores, some marking, no pitting, original diameters .553/.553 and cylinder chokes in both bores, blue is non existent except under the fore end, After some careful measuring and looking under high magnification, I believe these barrels were cut 2". This gun is in a serial number block that is not covered in the serialization book. The butt stock is a replacement with nice dimensions and wood. 2 1/2" drop at heel, 1 1/2" drop at comb, 14 1/4" length of pull to a terrible white line pachmayr pad. When the restock was done, the guard tang was shortened by about 1". the restock is tight to the metal, chequering is really nice and the grip cap is perfectly fitted. The fore end is original with clean chequering and does not appear to have been altered. With a little work, this is a really nice 28 for not a lot of money. 6lbs 5oz 01539891 HHSS
