Description:
Early 2nd Model Winchester Model 1890 in .22 Short, serial number 19068, manufactured in 1892. 24" octagonal barrel with correct front and rear sights. Case colored reciever turned silver with traces of case color on the inside. Barrel is a Winchester factory replacement with a 1911 patent date and an excellent bore. Barrel blue is at 85% turning a plum patina. Buttstock and forend are solid and without sanding or refinish. This is an unmolested piece in every way with a very good to excellent bore. The 2nd Model was the first of the takedown models but they retained the internal locking lugs of the First Model and the early ones with case colored recievers. It is fairly rare to find an early 2nd Model in this condition.
