Description:
Superb Stephen Grant and Sons Bar Action Sidelock 20 Bore shotgun. Gun manufactured in 1983 by Atkin Grant and Lang and remains in excellent lightly used condition. Fast handling 27" chopper lump bbls with overall weight at 6lbs 6oz. 2 3/4" chambers proofed at 3 1/4 tons. Chokes are IC and Mod...great bird gun.
This firearm was engraved in the " Diana Goddess of the Hunt " motif and signed by Allison Hunt ( daughter of Ken Hunt ) .
Outstanding Acanthus leaf and scroll with scenes of Diana and her bow on all three sides of the receiver along with the trigger guard, top lever and forearm iron, ( and yes, Diana is a bit naked..true to mythology ! ). Butt stock and forearm wood has excellent figure and leather recoil pad with 1 5/8" by 2 1/2" dimensions with 14 3/4" lop. Cast for right hand. The oil finished Stock can easily be bent with the new owners dimensions.
Leather case is in good condition.
