New Pics and info below. This gun serial number 62484 was manufactured in 1862. The gun has matching serial numbers throughout including the pin & wedge. The cylinder retains almost all the scene including the engagement and patent dates. The serial numbers, Colts Patent on frame and barrel address are sharp. The grips have some dings and dents but are solid with all varnish and in very good shape. Cartouch on left grip side, The bore is at least a 6-7. The lands and grooves look good. There is slight powder corrosion as usual. I have included many photos that I hope provides a visual description. Resolution on these phone cameras tend to over expose the photos! Overall the gun is a grey & light brown. The metal surfaces have some staining and pin pricking otherwise they are smooth. The nipples are in good shape, not mushroomed/mashed. The action works at half and full cock and locks up tight. **When I acquired this gun it came in this holster. I decided to keep the holster as it is evenly aged/old and a great example & displays beautifully being an honest holster from back then. I have decided the holster should be with the gun. They have been married most likely from the beginning…..the glove like fit and wear is really something. The notch strap is missing. Honoring a three day inspection.
