Description:
***   SOLD   ***   Handsome Parker VHE 20 gauge professionally restored with proper case colors and deep, rich bluing. We have been told the work was done by Lefever but we have no documentation to that effect. It looks like it did the day the original purchaser saw it when he picked it up at the local hardware store. The stock and forearm have also been professionally refinished with refreshed checkering. It is possible that the stock is a replacement as it has very shootable dimensions. Parker VHE number 151457 was made in 1909 on the “0” frame and is an ejector model. It weighs 6lb 9oz and is easy to carry afield and handles very well indeed.   ***   The 28” barrels are topped by a factory Parker crosshatched rib. The bores and chamber are shiny and bright. It is chambered for 2-9/16” shotshells. The right barrel is bored 0.628 with a constriction of 0.007 for Improved Cylinder choke. The left barrel is also bored 0.628 and has a constriction of 0.013 for Modified choke.   ***   The pistol grip buttstock and splinter forearm are made of nicely figured American walnut. The pistol grip has the factory Parker grip cap. The buttstock has a 3/4” rubber recoil pad but the stock has not been cut and the original factory dog’s head butt plate is included. The checkering is crisp. The finish is in great condition with only a few handling marks. Stock dimensions are 14-7/8” including a 3/4” recoil pad by 1-1/2” by 2-1/4”. Cast off for the righthanded shooter.   ***   If you have ever flushed a covey of quail in a field, shot a ruffed grouse in the tangles, or dropped a pheasant in a cornfield then you already know why you should own this gun. It is a great handling American classic you will be proud to uncase and carry afield - Just like your grandfather did all those years ago.  ***  Please note that the photos are part of the description. I am an FFL and will need a signed copy of your dealer’s FFL. Buyer is responsible for all shipping, insurance, and any other related charges. I give a 3-day non-firing inspection period and will only accept returns at buyer’s expense.
