Selling a Smith and Wesson Model 48-3. This model was produced by S&W from 1959 to 1986. This particular model was developed later in the series and has a 4" barrel. The stamping on the pistol is 22MRF (Magnum Rim Fire) which is now referred to as WMR (Winchester Magnum Rimfire). The finish on the pistol as seen in the photos is very dark blue indicative of an early Smith & Wesson model. The exterior of the pistol is in very good condition with very few handling marks and little wear with the exception of the hammer indicating that it was probably fired in Single Action most of the time. I’ve fired the pistol in both double and single and it performs flawlessly. The interior of the pistol, barrel and rotating 6 shot cylinder is very clean with little wear. The pistol is equipped with a set of Pachmayr Grips but other than that, it is 100% original. Included in the sale is a Smith & Wesson Case. Insured shipping to the lower 48 is $55.
