.44 rf or cf, #15056, 7 inch barrel, blue finish, 2 piece rosewood grips, missing ejector rod, top or rimfire firing striker has been repaired, "UNITED STATES ARMS COMPANY--NEW YORK" on top of barrel, "No 44" on top strap, circa 1870's.
Manufactured by the Otis Smith Company of Cincinnati, no production number available.
Condition: very good bore, metal is plum-gray overall, very good grips, mechanically very good, very good marks.
