Description:
Made in 1879 on a "00" frame, this gun was discovered years ago by respected Parker Collector and noted author Austin Hogan in New England. The gun is an exceptional collectible Parker small bore in that it was made as an extremely lightweight and small framed gun being made on a "00" Frame. The spacing between the pins measures exactly the same as a "00" frame. The gun has a diminuitive wedge fastened forend, straight grip buttstock with full steel buttplate. The stocks are uncheckered as is often the case with these very early Quality "0" Guns.
The gun was found in almost exactly the same condition and configuration as it is in today with the exception of the chamber area bulges having been repaired and the barrel finish has been restored. Bores do show some pitting, not bad, but the gun should not be fired. Stocks are sound having had an old coat of finish added. Metal has turned a mousey gray with no color remaining. Mechanics are fine.
