Description:
Pre-War Winchester Model 12, 20 Gauge professionally upgraded. This shotgun may have been equipped with a poly choke or similar device at one time since it is still stamped as a "Full" choke. So the factory solid rib barrel has been shortened to 24" and thus has the equivalent of a cylinder bore. However, I've found it patterns perfectly on the skeet field and swings quickly on dove and quail shooting up to and exceeding 25 to 30 yards. The refinish has been done extremely well without any indication of buffing. The stampings are as clear as original. The wood has been replaced with a very high grade of fancy american feather crotch walnut with generous display of beautful borderless checkering. The wood to metal fit is very precise. The LOP is 14" and the drop at heel is 2 5/8". I find no imperfections on the wood or metal and the only wear is very minor on the magazine tube and the engine turning on the bolt is wearing off some. Exception, there is a slight line along the lower left side of the barrel where the forearm may have made contact when the action was worked. The bore is mint and the action is tight. A great shooting show piece with a lot of bragging rights! Payment needs to be made by either Postal Money order or a certifed check. Buyer pays actual shipping.cost.
