Description:
Made in 1879 on a "0" frame, this is the highest grade 20ga lifter listed in the Parker Story- no other lifter guns in any grade were made in 20ga! This particular gun with 28" laminated barrels (ultra rare) made with splinter forend with Deely release, double triggers, extractors, round ball grip and buttstock which terminates with a skeleton buttplate. The gun is beaitfully engraved in Grade 3 pattern with game scene and scroll. Stocks are checkered in point pattern. Housed in a custom cherry wood case with brass fixtures.
This gun has been meticulously restored by Turnbull Restorations about 10 years ago. The gun remains in "as new" condition since being restored by Turnbull. It retains virtually all of its restored finish to both wood and metal and remains unfired since restoration.
This gun brought $32,200 in 2012 at James D. Julia eers. The purchaser has over $10,000 in the restoration and case.
