Description:
This is a rare and exceptional rifle in a chambering that can still be fired. It is chambered 40-65 Winchester and will function as it did when it was new. They made about 1700 of the large frame model and they didn't sell many due to the competition with Marlin and Winchester. These rifles are reputed to be of the highest quality in fit and finish. These had a unique loading system of loading through the bottom of the action and could still be single loaded with a full magazine. The lever action is different than all of its contemporaries as the lever was a rack and pinion style that was well designed and smoother than those of its competitors. There were so few made, to find one in this condition is extremely rare. The bore on this gun shines and has no issues with it at all. Overall, this is a real scarce gun in fantastic original condition, no disappointments with it. Questions call (406)579-9343
