A Scarce And Early Civil War Colt Model 5A Percussion Root Revolver With Long 4 1/2 Inch Barrel In Excellent Condition. Serial # 5,450, all matching numbers. All original and complete, made in 1856. The revolver has excellent metal, markings, and edges. It has a flutted cylinder. The entire revolver retains most of its original factory blue throughout it with some small areas thinning to a plum brown color. The hammer and loading lever retain their factory case colors on them. All screws are excellent as is the rear pin. The grips are minty and full. The gun is very tight throughout. It has an excellent action and bore. This Is A Very High Condition Example Of A Scarce Civil War Long Barrel Colt Model 5A Percussion Root Revolver!
