A Very Early And Scarce U.S.N. Civil War Navy Issued Jenks Carbine With Maynard Tape Primer In Excellent Plus Condition. Only 1,000 made 1847-1848. All original and complete, dated 1847. The carbine has excellent plus metal and markings throughout. It is fully marked and U.S.N. Inspected. All edges are excellent. The barrel on the carbine retains all of its original bright brown lacquer finish on it. The lock and top of breech retain darkened all original case colors throughout. All brass hardware is excellent plus and untouched. The wood on the gun is excellent plus throughout with very crisp edges and a very clear U.S. Inspectors Cartouche on the backside. It has an excellent bore and tight action. This Is A Very High Condition And Wonderful Looking Scarce Civil War U.S.N. Marked Jenks Navy Carbine!
