I do not know exactly which model number this gun is, but here is the description. 12 gauge, 32” barrels with solid rib; both bores are factory chambered for 3” shells and both bores choked Full at .035” constriction. Features: double triggers, automatic safety, extractors. The action is a “Jubilee” type side-plated boxlock and the frame has double under lug locks, a hidden third fastener and side clips! Engraved on the side plates are woodcock on the left and pheasant on the left. The frame is case colored on the water table and the breech face but appears to be coin finished on the outside. I would speculate that the outside was once case colored as well!! Regardless the exterior has not been polished so all of the details are sharp and crisp. The pistol grip stock has a 14 ½” LOP, 1 ½” DAC and 2 ¾” DAH with neutral cast. The beavertail forearm is factory original and both pieces are checkered in a very tight, finely cut pattern. The gun does not appear to have had much use at all. However sometime in the past this gun was stored incorrectly, and it looks like it stuck to a gun case on the left side of the receiver; about 12” along the left side of the barrel and a spot on top of the frame shows surface rust. The gun weighs 8 lbs. but balances well between the hands. This Francotte was designed and built to be a dedicated waterfowl gun. Built sometime in the early/mid 1960’s. $3,150.00 SN: 24099 SOLD |
