Description:
Serial #4793165, .30-06, 24" barrel with a good bore that has some mild pitting within the grooves. This rifle has a 9-43 dated, "SC" barrel and retains 90-95% of the original parkerized finish that has silvered at the muzzle, on the high edges and projections, and some bright gray scratches on the sides of the front sight assembly. The bearing surfaces of the bolt have also silvered leaving streaks of gray and smooth brown in the Du-Lite blue finish. The walnut stock is in very good shape, with some flaking of the finish present throughout, and a large bruise in the wood on the left side just above the trigger. The original assembly stamps and "FJA" cartouche are visible, although the cartouche appears to have been emphasized by hand at a later date. An OD canvas M1 sling is fitted, and the stock compartment is vacant. This is a very good-near fine '03-A3 overall. FFL or C&R
