Description:
The item for sale is a Custom Rifle chambered for the 257 Ackley Improved. The rifle is in as new condition. It is fitted with a Burris 12X Full Field scope made in the USA with excellent optics on a Weaver one piece base. The McGowen heavy tapered target barrel is 27" long, approximately 7/8" at the muzzle which is counter bored..The chambering is for the 257 Ackley Improved (40 deg.). The Mauser action appears to be their commercial action. The stock is a beautiful laminated thumb-hole with a check piece and high gloss finish fitted with a ventilated recoil pad. The stock has both forearm and pistol grip caps. The inletting of the wood to metal is excellent. The rifle also features a hinged floor plate, serràted trigger, and high polish blue finish. The LOP is approx. 14 1/4". The weight of the rifle is 13.8 pounds. The overall condition is As New with no signs of use or wear. A set of dies for the 257 Ackley Improved 40 degree are included. Please include $50 to cover shipping and insurance. A FFL copy is required prior to shipping.
