Description:
Circa 1963. An upgraded single barrel trap gun engraved by Daniel B. Marshall of Hazelton, PA. This trap gun is built with two sets of blacked barrels. (A) 26" and (B) 30". (A) barrel reads "WINCHESTER - MODEL 12 GA - 2 3/4 CHAM",-TRADE MARK- MADE IN U.S.A.", "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL", "WS-1". (B) reads WINCHESTER - MODEL 12 GA - 2 3/4 CHAM",-TRADE MARK- MADE IN U.S.A.", "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL", "FULL". Both barrels are engraved with a standing pigeon and an arrow pointing towards muzzle at breech end of feed tube. Barrels are fitted with raised ventilated ribs, steel mid-bead, and white front bead sights. Breech end of barrels have been engraved with scrolls and gold border inlays. Blacked receiver has been nicely engraved with scrolls, gold inlays of wooded hunt scenes and flower bouquets. Bottom of receiver is engraved with scroll and with gun's serial number "1928162". Just beneath the serial number is the engraver's signature. The gun's blacked single trigger is protected by a blacked trigger guard which is engraved with scroll and has a gold inlay of a game bird in a gold inlaid border. The safety on the gun is the cross bolt push button which is positioned at top left of the trigger guard. The gun's Monte Carlo buttstock with checkered and Fleur-de-Lis decorated pistol grip has an ebony grip cap, cheekpiece is finished by a "WINCHESTER" orange pad. Forend have matched checkering and Fleur-de-Lis decoration. The gun and barrels are stored in a custom oak case fitting both barrels. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels with very light handling marks. Stock and forend also with slight handling marks. Case is also very good with some light storage marks.
