Description: Browning Superposed Belgium Early Grade IV 4 - 20ga - “Mother of Fox” - 28” - IC/M - ca. 1951 - Minty TOLEX Case - Magnificent Piece! This shotgun checks all of the boxes for a collectible early superposed RKLT high grade - I consider this shotgun to be "untouched" as there is no evidence of refurbishing (horn buttplate was replaced as usual) - there's some gnurling in the finish which is typical of this era - the bluing and graying are in magnificent condition. Further Notes: on Page 148 of Ned Schwing's The Browning Superposed book - the intrinsic matters of the engraver's signatures are explained. This gun is a wonderful example of how Browning's engravers did things in this era. A photo of this page is provided in this ad - the gun is what consider to be "right" meaning that all things are in place, even when the buttplate was pulled off - the proper hole shape and authenticity are obvious for an early Lightning Model. ***************SCROLL DOWN FOR SPECS************* Quillen-Worfe Fine Gun Collection & Consignments *****Please read prior to making a purchase*****:
