Description:
Excellent Pre-64 Model 70 FWT in .308 caliber. Produced in 1953, SN # 249887. A very nice offering from my private collection. There are no cracks or major defects. Standard NRA walnut stock. A few tiny superficial scratches on the left side of the stock above the trigger. Nothing to dwell upon. Overall, a very nice piece of walnut. First-rate metal butt and floor plate shine. Standard FWT two-line barrel marking. Screws and swivels are present. No extra scope mounts, empty screw holes, missing sights/sight hoods, or nagging thoughts about missing parts after the buy. This rifle is complete. Not perfect, but it is a very nice rifle and not the average offering. I rate both wood/metal at 98%. Excellent bore.
