This Savage M99 C was of early mfg (1899) , Serial No.10--273 cal .303 is in the very good original condition for it's period.
The guns bluing has a dull patina to light bluing w/ some edge wear, The action is good w/clear chamber and original rear adjustable
sight. Buttstock is straight and indicative of the very early Savages & w/a Cresent Buttplate.The forearm is a Schnoble type and is
in good condition. The barrel is 22 inches and usually found on an Carbine. I suspect that this might have been a Special Order
Savage. This Savage M99C might be a good candidate for restoration and a rare one at that.
