EXCELLENT FIRST YEAR PRODUCTION, LONG TANG MODEL 71 .348WCF WITH BOLT PEEP, #12XX, MADE 1936! It would be hard to find a lower serial number than this one! Excellent condition overall with the barrel and mag tube showing about all the blue. The receiver, including the upper tang and bolt also show about all the bright blue with only some thinning on the bottom by the serial number. Excellent wood with tight wood to metal fit showing very little wear or handling and only a couple of small rub spots in the finish (not the wood) on each side of the forend and a small area on the bottom of the pistol grip. Even the forend tip which has a factory super grade swivel attachment shows much good blue. Tight action, correct bolt peep, original buckhorn rear sight and ramped front sight, bright excellent bore. Great 85+ year old first year M-71!
