Description:
Correct 29 inch full length barrels. Wood is in very good condition with sharp checkering on the wrist as well as the forearm. Circassian style walnut retains most original varnish with just a few mars and dings. Correct steel buttplate. Also has a cheekpiece. Trapdoor in the buttplate for a cleaning rod. Good bores. Gun is in generally good condition with about 60% case colors remaining on the frame and sidelocks. "Springer Erben Wein" is marked on the sidelocks. The hammers have safety notches and it appears one of the hammer springs is broken. Barrel retains about 50-60% original Damascus pattern. This gun has an elaborately engraved crown between the hammers as well as the initial "L". Perhaps a royal marking? Locks and frame are also covered in fine engraving. A fine double barrel Springer!
