CIVIL WAR MERRILL U.S. NAVY RIFLE SABER BAYONET DATED 1862. 30 ½” o/a with 25 ½” blade dated 1862. Brass hilt serial numbered “8484” on the back strap. Excellent with the original patina. Nice crisp example of one of the scarcest U.S. Civil War bayonets usually found in poor condition.
