Description:
Springfield Armory® XD40 Sub-Compact is an ergonomically designed Semi-Auto Pistol meant for concealed carry use. The sub-compact XD® is small enough to conceal, yet large enough to provide a solid grip to control rapid fire with the powerful .40SW cartridge. Its design is inherently rapid to deploy and point on target naturally. As with standard models of Springfield XD semi-automatic pistols, the sub-compact model has a durable polymer frame and Melonite-coated forged steel slide for long lasting durability and reliability. A grip safety and a trigger safety prevent accidental discharge; and a loaded chamber indicator and striker status indicator give both visual and tactile indication whether the gun is loaded and ready to fire in any lighting condition. Posi-wedge slide serrations provide a solid hold on the slide when loading and unloading the pistol. Three dot dovetail night sights provide rapid sight acquisition.
