SUPERIOR WAR OF 1812 BRITISH GEORGE III PATTERN 1809 FLINTLOCK MUSKET. 42” smoothbore .75 caliber barrel with Royal Ordnance acceptance proofs at the breech. Lock stamped “TOWER” and the Royal cypher as well as the “CROWN/BROAD ARROW” Royal Ordnance acceptance stamp. Several sets of Regimental stamps on barrel, side plate and stock attesting to it’s service life. All original and complete to the last screw including all the lock parts. and in excellent original untouched condition. Very fine metal patina and stock with the original finish. Perfect working order and very good bore for. Manufactured from 1809 to 1815. Type used by British Regulars throughout the War of 1812 and the Napoleonic Wars.
