Description:
Takedown Winchester Model 1912 manufactured in 1914. Chambered in 2 3/4", 12 gauge with 30" nickel-steel barrel featuring the rare for its time solid rib. Initially the gun had seen little use before being purchased by a Winchester enthusiast and taken to Martin Hagn for rust bluing and restocking into a full figured Turkish walnut featuring round bottom prince of whales grip and flattop wrap around checking. Later, Hagn opened the original full choke to modified as the owner wanted to use the gun for sporting clays. Gun has seen very little use and includes a letter of provenance from Martini Gunmakers. Gun is in beautiful condition with the only marks being a couple small scratches at the takedown location and seen in photo.
This one of only two shotguns the legendary Martin Hagn has ever completed.
The stocking costs alone far exceeds the listing price.
