This was made Dec. 1888 and is serial number 15243. I found a note under the grip with the guys name, City and date he purchased this little S&W D.A. 38 revolver. It retains over 85% original nickel finish with crisp mechanical function. The grips are very good condition. Very neat to find a note under the grips with the date, who and where he purchased it.
