Truly a superb example and especially rare being such an early, antique production rifle in a desirable caliber! The receiver retains nearly all the bright blue with only light edge wear. The barrel and mag tube also retain excellent blue . Even the forend tip retains fine blue. Best of all, the lever sides show fine case colors and the hammer reveals good lightly faded case colors also. The wood is excellent with tight wood to metal fit and shows almost no handling. All markings are sharp and clear. It is fitted with a Marble tang sight that shows excellent blue and there are NO extra holes in the upper tang beneath the tang sight. The barrel is fitted with the factory buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar intact as well as a Lyman "Beach" folding globe front sight. The action is tight and the bore is only slightly dark with any roughness very minor and scattered. One of the best conditioned 1894s I've offered and certainly desirable in this caliber and with an antique serial number and special sights!
