On Hold Originally manufactured in 1864, this Parker Snow & company 58 caliber rifle was one of 2000 upgtaded with the Miller breach system by Meridian manufacturing circa 1865-1867. Blade front and leaf rear sights with the lock plate dated 1864 behind the hammer and eagle and US Parker Snow & Company, Meridian Conn.and Meridian Manufacturing co/meridian. Conn. On top of the breach block along with patent date. This is a very good full length 3 band dark walnut stock with normal scratches and some dents also a fine hairline crack behind the lock. The lock and breach block function fine. The full length barrel and all metal parts have a pleasing brown patina. The bore is also very good. Overal a very nice specimen of a fairly.scarce antique rifle. This original rifle appears complete wit correct ramrod. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
