Description:
This Hi Power is in excellent condition, with at least 98% mid-war blue/black finish remaining. What wear there is can be seen on the back strap and front strap, to a lesser degree. There is very minimal surface oxidation on the slide and frame, which can be seen in the photos, but doesn't appear to have degenerated into full-blown pitting. It is not an import, nor has it been refinished. The German Waffenamt markings are mostly clearly struck and legible, except for the eagle on the barrel at the ejection port, it being about 3/4 there - no 1-wing eagles, no half-wing eagles, and all numerals clearly struck and legible. The wood grips are outstanding for a mid-1943 manufacture and the bore is like new, with a bright, shiny bore and sharp rifling. I offer the opinion that this firearm was made for some dignitary as a presentation piece, but have no proof other than its overall condition. The 13-round fish tail magazine is in at least very good condition. I have listed this item as used, mainly because of the gun's age. FFL required. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. Cashier's Check or USPS money orders only, please. As always, it is highly recommended that a qualified gunsmith perform a safety inspection prior to firing any used firearm.
