Antique early Indian wars Long wrist US Model 1873 Springfield 45-70 caliber army rifle. Full 2 band very dark walnut stock has numerous dents and dings has seen a lot of service with faint but present ESA and circle P cartouches and a unit and rack number present near the but plate. The full length stock has the correct front and early 1873 rifle leaf rear site held by slotless screws. The 2 click lock is marked US Springfield 1873 with the American eagle and functions fine. The tight breach block is marked model 1873 US with the eagle head and crossed arrows. The metal parts original finish has turned dark brown. A good original early Springfield complete with sling swivels and original cleaning rod. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
