A NEW YEARS SALE PRICE---$1750---Here's an interesting Winchester Model 52 Sporter that is VG overall and will make someone very happy. It's a Pre-A gun and these are quite scarce. The barrel and action blue is very nice. The trigger guard and magazine well area need to be polished and refinished. They have turned brown with pin prick pitting. It will clean up nicely. The bore and mechanics are excellent, as is the stock with the original super grade type swivels. This is a 1935 vintage gun and these early models had the wing type safety lever on the left side at the rear of the action. The safety lever is missing! I just raised the bolt handle to put it on safe! The gun is fitted with an unmarked Fecker style scope with external adjustable mounts. It's in nice shape with good optics and standard cross hairs. It's unmarked, but I'd estimate it at about 6X or so. The stock is cut out for a Lyman 48 peep sight, which, most likely, would have been original equipment. I always meant to search for the safety levar and redo the trigger guard, but the years have slipped on by and I'll leave that up to the next custodian of this neat little rifle. The Model 52 Sporter, in my mind, has always been the King of the .22 bolt guns. Here's an opportunity to get one at a price where you can use it as is or do the few little things to restore it and your investment will be an excellent one. Use buy now and I'll pay shipping and insurance to the lower 48.
