Ruger M77 Mark II in .280 Remington. The rifle features a traditional Mauser-style two-lugged bolt with a claw extractor. The Mark II introduced the 3-position safety which allows the bolt to be opened while still on safe. The .280 Remington is capable of developing energy nearly equal to the .30-06 Springfield, but with lighter bullets having a better ballistic coefficient. .280 Remington
